Manteca Children's Foundation Scholarship -Deadline 2/6/2026
We are pleased to announce that this year we will be adding another scholarship option. In addition to the scholarships for students going to 4-Year College or to a 2 Year Community College, we will now also be offering scholarships for students going directly to a Trade School program.
The Foundation is planning to award up to 20 Scholarships overall this year.
The Scholarship Applications are due by Friday, Feb. 6, 2026, at 3:00pm.

The Retired Public Employees of San Joaquin County (RPESJC) is offering scholarship opportunities to the children/grandchildren of current RPESJC members. This scholarship will award up to eight scholarships of $2,500 each.

RPESJC is devoted to improving the quality of life, general health, and well-being of its members. The RPESJC Scholarship is an investment in the future of its members’ children/grandchildren.
Eligibility Requirements:
An applicant is eligible for a RPESJC Scholarship provided he/she:
- Is the child/grandchild of a current RPESJC member.
- Is in the final or senior year of high school.
- Is enrolling in an accredited two- or four-year college or university or trade school, full-time or part-time in the fall of the academic year following high school graduation.
- Has a minimum cumulative unweighted GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
Application Process:
- Submit a typed fully completed Scholarship Application by April 1, 2026.
- Complete an essay (1,000 words or less) stating the reasons for applying for this Scholarship. Include educational and career goals. It must be signed and dated.
- Provide either an official or unofficial copy of the most recent (through junior year) transcripts.
- Include two current letters of recommendation stating the relationship with the applicant, the applicant’s goals and aspirations, and specific personal and/or scholastic attributes. Letters may be submitted by neighbors, employers, pastors, counselors, teachers, and supervisors of volunteer work.
- The RPESJC Scholarship Committee will screen applications. The top six candidates will be invited to an interview with the committee.
- A total of eight $2,500 scholarships will be awarded. Funds will be released directly to the educational institution in which the applicant has been enrolled.

Friedberger Education Fund Scholarship- Deadline 4/10/2026
Qualifications for nominee:
Intent to enroll in an institution of higher learning in California except in extraordinary and exceptional cases. Extraordinary and exceptional cases are deemed to be those where the recipient has demonstrated marked talents in a particular field that is served with conspicuous distinction by an educational institution outside the State of California.

The nominee's application must be accompanied by:
- A transcript of record reflecting excellent grades over seven (7) semesters.

- A copy of all financial aid and scholarships being received and/or offered by the institution(s) and other agencies to which the applicant has been admitted and/or plans to attend, if applicable (university award letter and university financial aid letter).
The Committee of Award will consider financial need to be the difference between the annual cost of the nominee’s higher education (including tuition, fees, books and supplies, meals, and housing) and the sum of the resources available to the nominee including grants, scholarships, awards, nominee’s contribution, and their family’s contribution.
The scholarship advisor must submit one (1) completed and signed original copy of the application and supporting documents to the Committee of Award.
The Committee of Award will screen applications and select finalists in a committee review meeting. Nominees and their nominators will be notified of award decisions in May 2026 by mail. Award amounts will be determined by June 2026.

Comerciantes Unidos Scholarship - Deadline TBD
- Recipient must be currently in 12th grade and must have been accepted to a Community College or University.

Applicants must be California residents and meet the eligibility requirements described below:
The programs were established to assist deserving female students by offering financial assistance to meet educational expenses. One hundred $3,000 Minerva Scholarships and one $10,000 Golden Minerva Scholarships will be awarded this year.
Requirements to be eligible for a Minerva Scholarship:
- Applicants must be enrolled full-time, in good academic standing at an accredited California college or university OR
- Applicants must be a graduating senior from a California high school with written proof of acceptance at an accredited institution of higher learning.
- Eligible students must identify as female.
- Have a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.5.
- Submit a completed online application with all required supplementary documents by the application deadline.

Breaking Barriers: Supporting Women in STEM
Breaking Barriers is designed to help women successfully pursue and complete education or training in a STEM field. For 2024, Breaking Barriers will provide 5 multi-year awards of $3,000 to $5,000 per year for female students enrolled in certification, apprenticeship, or other STEM-specific job training programs, or who are pursuing a STEM degree at an accredited institution of higher learning.
Requirements to be eligible for Breaking Barriers:
- Applicants must be enrolled in good standing apprenticeship, certification, or other program that provides job training for a STEM field, or supply written proof of acceptance for an apprenticeship, certification, or other program that provides job training for a STEM field; OR
- Be a student in good standing with written proof that their degree program is in a STEM-related field at an accredited college or university, with a minimum grade point average (GPA) of 2.8.
- Eligible students must identify as female.
- Submit a completed online application with all required supplementary documents by the application deadline.
